DAY 14
‘PREPARING FOR ASEAN FESTIVAL’
Hello good people, happy weekend.
It’s already Saturday, and it’s my 13th day in TAU. The time runs
fast, right?
Well, in this my 13th
day, the classes were off so we just stayed at the hostel doing some jobs like
preparing lesson plans, journal, and also writing blog. We enjoy these bustles,
and of course these activities will be missed when this program end.
However, we did not spend all day by
writing or doing the preparation. We also did some other things. We had a
traditional dance practice. This practice is a preparation for the ASEAN next
coming festival. We all were very excited. We wanted to give our best.
We practiced the dance starting from
the afternoon until the evening. At the evening we also discussed about
arrangement for traditional songs that we are going to perform in the festival
also. Because of we come from different island in Indonesia, we listed the
songs from different island also. There were some of songs become the option,
however we choose the easier and most known only. At least four traditional
songs already chosen that will be performed
At night, we did the practice again. We really enjoyed
it, and then our buddies brought Philippine Martabak. We then ate it together.
The Philippinr’s Martabak is quite different from Indonesia. In Indonesia we
called it as ‘Kue Serabi”, but in Philippine it is called Martabak. The taste
is quite different also, Philippine Martabak is weeter than Kue Serabi. And I
really like it.
Besides brought Martabak, our buddies also brought
grilled chicken. We were so happy, because we do love eating chicken. The taste
was really delicious.
