TEACHING
PRACTICES
1.
Procedures
of My Teaching
The procedures of my teaching practice
are:
First of all, I made my lesson plan.
Here I tried to design my class activities; what should I do, what should the
students do, what materials should be, and so forth. After my lesson plan was
done, I consult to my cooperating teacher. My cooperating teacher would give
feedbacks a day before my teaching practice. Then, I have time to revise and prepare
for my practice. During the preparation, I learned again about the materials. I
prepared the methods as well as the teaching media, and the assessments.
Secondly, I did my teaching practice. I
explained the materials as well as the assessments for the students. The
assessments were collected to be assessed. And I gave the assessment results to
my cooperating teacher to be considered as the students final scores.
Thirdly, after I did my teaching
practice. I received the feedbacks from my cooperating teacher. What I have
done well, and what should be improved.
To
manage my time while I teach the students, I used my watch. I tried to start
and end the class on time. I used 5 minutes for reviewing the previous materials,
I then used 5 minutes for the motivations. The motivations here should related
to the topic that the students will learn. Then 40 minutes I used to explain
the materials, play game, give tasks, and the last 10 minutes will be the
reflections time for the students as well as if there is an assignment.
The main problem of my teaching was to manage the students when
there is a group activity. Because, the students are too active, and they are
crowded. However, I tried to make the students quiet and listen to my
instructions by kept silent until they stop talking, and then I warned them
that I would not repeat the instructions once again.
Each class consists 47 to 50
students. To manage them, I speak loudly when I explain the materials, and
moved dynamically so the students could hear my explanations. When there is a
group activity, I divided the students into 3 to 6 groups, whether to play the
game or do the group work.
