Hello everyone, it’s me Dewik, the one who writes this blog. Well in this first post, I would like to give a brief self introduction, about my family, and also share some experiences that I already through in this life.

Well, I’d like to begin with ‘who am I?

My name is Dewi Ayu Tri Anjani. Everyone calls me Dewik, Wik or Dew as their preference. I was born on September 9 in 1997, so next month I’m 21 years old. I am a student of English Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Mataram University, West Nusa Tenggara, Lombok Island, Indonesia. I am in the last year of my study. Wish me luck so I can graduate soon; hopefully next year J

Still about myself, let’s talk about my hobby. My hobbies are writing, reading, and travelling. However, I am not a good reader like everyone assumes that if you love reading you spend all the time for reading. And I am also not a good writer, but I have some published work like poem or short story when I joined the competition.

I also love traveling; perhaps my biggest dream is to travel around the world. Here are some pictures of my travelling in my island, Lombok. What I call this island is ‘Little Paradise’.

Actually, there are so many amazing places that I have not visited yet, and might be counted to your plans. Hopefully we can do it together J

Well everyone, the second point I’d like to introduce is my beloved family. ‘Where I belong to?’

I come from a very homely family in Jenggala village, North Lombok. My father works as a craftsman and my mother works as a laborer. I also have a little brother, his name is Deuw Ghazali. Now he is in the first grade of elementary school. Even though we’re from a very homely family, we are very grateful. And I love my family so much.

However, it is sad news since now we’re homeless. Our house was destroyed by the earthquake in Lombok, on Sunday evening with 7.0 RS.

And the third point, I would like to share some experiences that already through in my life.

Well, besides becoming a student, I also seeking a side job like becoming an English private teacher and a journalist for local media in Lombok. I started this profession since November 2017. Firstly, I become a journalist in SeputarNTB.net, and then I moved to KanalNTB.com since January 2018. I love writing, I love investigation, and I love being a truth revealer. Being a journalist, even though as a new comer, really gives a lot of experiences in my life. I can get a lot of knowledge, friends, relatives, and connections. Those are really important; much more than money.
